We take great pride in hand raising our puppies in our home in among the hustle and bustle of regular day life. Our puppies are well socialized and are leash trained and crate trained when they go to their new homes. We find this very beneficial for so many experiences they will face though out their life, Wither it be a trip to the Vet, the groomers or waiting their turn while attending classes.
Jake at 12 weeks old, he is very much loved by Mandy
Is a Lowchen for you? The Lowchen is robust and energetic but adapts well to town or country. Although it requires minimal space for its exercise needs, they enjoy regular walks in the park or an off leash run in the countryside. They are easily trained and have a willingness to please, they excel in most dog sports including agility, obedience, nose work among many others. Lowchen are generally friendly with everyone, are happy and boisterous, kind and playful. They are an awesome addition to family, they are generally good with children and other household pets. If a Lowchen is kept in the traditional lion clip there is the need for experienced clipping, being brushed every couple of days will keep them looking beautiful. They are considered to be non shedding but do require regular brushing to keep them free of mats, keeping them in a shorter clip like the Teddy bear clip cuts down on the coat maintenance and can then be brushed a few times a week or even once a week if kept quite short. Lowchen come in a variety of colors, we often joke that they are like a box of chocolates! you never know what your are going to get as their coat color often changes in color from birth to adulthood.
